The housing market in South Florida’s Palm Beach has finally picked up again. Now that the election has been settled, and the stock market has hit at an all-time high, sellers and buyers of single family homes and condos seem to be releasing the brakes they engaged due to the uncertainty of the the election outcome. The fact that our new president has his Winter White House, called Mar-a-Lago right here in Palm Beach has additionally stimulated global interest in this beautiful area.
It has been a very busy season for Palm Beach real estate agents with a fair amount of showings. Four single-family homes with a listing price between $6 million and $10 million in Palm Beach landed under contract beginning of March. Overall, the “sales” and “pending” categories of the Multiple Listing Service show 24 houses in the price range from $1.495 million to $22 million. This is a very good sign, since only a few weeks ago the MLS showed only 16 homes in the “pending” category.
All in all, potential buyers and sellers are finally feeling more confident after a sluggish year in the real estate arena. I love assisting home buyers to find their dream home in an area close to paradise. With white sandy beaches and the warm South Florida climate, Palm Beachers enjoy year-round golf, boating, tennis, polo, and numerous other outdoor activities. If the hectic lifestyle or a cold climate have finally grown stale, one can do no wrong to make Palm Beach your home.
